Land in Måløy — the Norwegian west coast at its most beautiful
Steep mountains plunge straight into the North Sea, wave-sculpted rocks and white-sand beaches lie a short drive from the quay. This is mainland Norway's westernmost edge — and one of the country's most underrated cruise ports.
What you can't miss
Four experiences within reach of the quay
Everything sits close together in Måløy. In just a few hours ashore you can take in iconic natural landmarks and quiet moments in the fishing town.

Kannesteinen
The wave-sculpted rock at Oppedal, shaped by the sea over thousands of years. Norway's most photographed stone, just 20 minutes from the quay.
The West Cape
Stand 496 metres above the sea at Kjerringa and gaze over the Stad Sea in every direction. On clear days you can see for miles into the Atlantic.
Refviksanden beach
One of Norway's most beautiful beaches — 1.5 kilometres of white sand and turquoise water. Voted among the country's finest time and again.
The fishing town of Måløy
Wander the waterfront, breathe in the scent of sea and fresh fish, and visit the Måløy Bridge linking Vågsøy to the mainland.
About Måløy
A fishing village with wilderness in every direction
Måløy lies on the island of Vågsøy in Kinn municipality, on the outermost edge of Vestland facing the sea. The town grew into one of Norway's most important fishing communities and still smells of salt and ocean. Around you is a landscape carved by weather and waves: sheer mountains, sheltered coves, sweeping beaches and lighthouses that have guided sailors for generations. For cruise guests, Måløy is a rare chance to experience authentic West Norwegian coastal life without the crowds.

What guests say
Enjoy the bike journey in Maloy! Great bikes!
I took a peaceful walk in the woods behind Maloy. Our guide had lived in Maloy all his life and was filled with local knowledge and lore. Not strenuous, just very very pleasant. I highly recommend for a low key pleasant afternoon.
The least crowded port we've visited. A genuine fishing town, wild scenery and people who actually have time for a chat.
